Race Four : (78) - MIDDLE BAY HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 METRO WARRIOR (D387) E C W Wong Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 KA YING POWER (H169) C L Chau Jumped awkwardly.
Horse No 5 MASTER TRILLION (J442) K C Leung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 6 DASH AVENUE (H327) L Hewitson After the race, L Hewitson reported that his mount was making a respiratory noise.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in its trachea and also found the horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
Before being allowed to race again, DASH AVENUE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 9 VICTORYTHIRTYTHREE (J216) M F Poon Jumped a little awkwardly with its head up.
After the race, M F Poon reported that his mount over-raced in the early stages and subsequently failed to finish the race off.
Horse No 11 SPICY SPANGLE (J087) P N Wong Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 12 GUSTY FIGHTER (J029) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly.
After the race, K Teetan reported that his mount never travelled at any stage during the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 2 ACE VICTORY (H076) K H Chan Withdrawn on 5.10.24 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (heart irregularity).
Before being allowed to race again, ACE VICTORY will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

Debutant Master Trillion came on nicely through the centre from behind midfield to take control 100m out for the win. He is still open to further improvement. Spicy Spangle kept on gamely for second after dictating the run from a low draw with the claim well utilised. It was his best performance from six starts. Favourite Metro Warrior whacked on one paced to finish a distant third after chasing the leading pair in the centre of the track. He had his chance, but it was another honest performance. Specked late Almighty Kick got going near the far side for fourth after making his run two from the rear. He produced a better effort after a troubled 11th last month. Happy Horse was on his tippy toes 100m out after prompting the pace from gate four. He prefers the Valley 1,000m. Newcomer Brilliant Fire ran on without threatening from behind midfield. He should come on for the run. Ka Ying Power came from near last to finish next best. He was first up following a lengthy injury-induced absence for a new trainer.
