Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (68) - CHONGQING HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Meters
Horse No 2 GENEVA (J114) H Bowman From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 JUDY'S GREAT (J016) Z Purton From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on JUDY'S GREAT at the request of Trainer C S Shum.
The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, JUDY'S GREAT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Horse No 4 CHEERFUL WORLD (H352) L Ferraris After the 400 Metres became held up for clear running between HAPPY PARK and TOP SCORER and did not obtain clear running until near the 200 Metres.
Horse No 5 NIGHT PUROSANGUE (J510) M L Yeung Jumped only fairly and was crowded shortly after.
From a wide barrier was then shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
In the early stages raced keenly.
Throughout the middle stages lay in and after the 500 Metres shifted in and made contact with the running rail.
Horse No 6 THE PRIME (J352) L Hewitson Shortly after the start was taken out.
Horse No 7 HAPPY PARK (J311) C Y Ho Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
Horse No 8 GOOD PROSPECT (J406) C L Chau Made contact with the right side of its barrier on jumping.
Horse No 9 CIRCUIT VICTORY (H487) K C Leung On jumping was bumped by HAPPY PARK which shifted out slightly, resulting in CIRCUIT VICTORY becoming unbalanced.
Horse No 10 SILVER DESTINY (J096) Y L Chung After the event, Y L Chung reported that his mount was disadvantaged by racing wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 PATCH OF TIME (H483) K Teetan Sent for sampling post-race.

After a patient ride at the rear from gate 10, odds-on favourite Geneva showed a good turn of foot to reel in Patch Of Time 50m out for a deserving first win following placings in five other starts. Patch Of Time was just beaten after moving to the lead 150m out following a one-out, one-back run. He was suited by the step back in distance. Circuit Victory stayed on reasonably well for third without threatening the top two after a rails run from midfield. He enjoyed the step up in distance after a better effort over 1,000m on opening day. Cheerful World was badly held up for the majority of the straight after a box-seat run. He should have finished closer. Top Scorer knocked up over the last 100m after a pace-prompting run. He appeared to need the run. Happy Park was on his tippy toes over the last 100m after working to the lead from gate two. He is still a work in progress. Judy's Great ran on without threatening after making his run second last from the widest draw.
