Recap by phillip woo

Post time favourite Giant Leap kept on gamely after turning the final bend a length on top dictating the pace from gate two for a first win at his sixth start. There's more improvement to come from the three-year-old. Prime Mortar stayed on well to just take second after a prominent run on the fence. He continues to perform well with seconds in two of his past three starts following a win for his new trainer in May. Early favourite Camino stormed home late with two wider out but just missed second after settling one off the rail behind midfield. He has the tools to add to a May win following eye-catching efforts to place in his past two starts. Joy Coming kept on well for fourth after chasing the speed three wide without cover the entire trip. Jolly Companion made a steady bid for fifth after making his run one off the fence from better than midfield. He's not far off a rating bottom. Vantastic Choice succumbed over the last 100m after stalking the pace from gate seven. Specked late, Smart Leader came from last to finish next best. He's a Class Five horse.
