Racing Incident Report
Race Four : (785) - THE CMA 90TH ANNIVERSARY CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 3 - 1000Meters
Horse No 1 WE ARE HERO (G207) Y L Chung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 KA YING VICTORY (H287) A Badel Jumped only fairly, shifted in and was bumped.
Over the final 300 Metres lay in when placed under pressure.
After the race, A Badel reported that KA YING VICTORY raced flat during the event and failed to run on strongly when he placed his mount under pressure over the final 400 Metres.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race which included an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, KA YING VICTORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 PLEASANT ENDEAVOR (E114) L Ferraris Jumped awkwardly and shortly after the start was bumped on the hindquarters and became unbalanced.
Horse No 6 FLYING HIGH (E204) L Hewitson Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 9 PHOENIX LIGHT (G192) C L Chau After the race, C L Chau reported that his mount hung out when placed under pressure over the final 300 Metres.
Horse No 10 MOTOMAN (J436) Z Purton Shortly after the start was bumped and became unbalanced.
After the race, Z Purton stated that the horse, which was having its first race start in Hong Kong, is still relatively inexperienced and would derive benefit from today's performance.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 11 ACE VICTORY (H076) H T Mo Shifted out at the start, was bumped and became unbalanced.
Horse No 12 SUPER FORTUNE (G065) M F Poon On jumping became unbalanced when bumped by ACE VICTORY which shifted out.
As a result, SUPER FORTUNE then shifted out and became further unbalanced when it made contact with MOTOMAN.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Flying High got up near the 100m after switching into the clear 200m out following a handy run on the stand side for a fifth career win over the straight 1,000m. We Are Hero ran on nicely to finish a clear-cut second after a prominent run near the grandstand side. Hasten Delight found a couple too good after moving to the lead 250m out following a prominent run. Alpha One stuck around for fourth without threatening the top three after rushing straight to the front on the far side from gate one. It was a pleasing debut effort in Hong Kong. Specked late Phoenix Light came from last to grab fifth. He went OK but is better suited over 1,200m. Favourite Ka Ying Victory whacked on one-paced when asked for more after sitting close to the speed near the far side. He could not offset a rise in weight after a second straight win last month over this trip.
