Race Six : (756) - CLEAR WATER BAY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters
Horse No 1 IMA SINGLE MAN (D476) Y L Chung Jumped only fairly.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
Horse No 2 CALL ME GLORIOUS (H410) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 3 GRACIOUS EXPRESS (J188) B Avdulla Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 4 GREAT STATE (J124) K De Melo Near the 900 Metres shifted out when being steadied away from AORAKI SUMMIT.
Horse No 5 PRESTIGE ALWAYS (J300) K Teetan Was fractious in the starting gates, jumped awkwardly and lost considerable ground.
Before being allowed to race again, PRESTIGE ALWAYS will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained a small wound to the right hind leg.
Horse No 6 AORAKI SUMMIT (H300) A Atzeni A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have bled from both nostrils.
As this was the second occasion that AORAKI SUMMIT had bled, the horse is permanently barred from any further racing.
Horse No 7 PULSAR STRIDER (G407) K C Leung Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Noted to have bled from both nostrils after the race.

Horse No 8 MIGHTY COMMANDER (J360) C Y Ho After the 1000 Metres got its head up when being steadied to allow CALL ME GLORIOUS to cross.
Continued to race keenly for some distance thereafter and near the 800 Metres got its head up again when being steadied to avoid GRACIOUS EXPRESS (B Avdulla) which shifted in when not clear.
B Avdulla was reprimanded.
Horse No 9 RICH HORSE (J191) A Badel For some distance approaching the 700 Metres was steadied to avoid MIGHTY COMMANDER.

Call Me Glorious led and drew clear to win by a country mile. He's now won three of five starts and should hold his own up in grade off a light weight. Gracious Express just held on for second after a pace-stalking run. He was able to back up a win last start carrying more weight. Victor The Rapid stayed on nicely for a placing after a box-seat run. It was an encouraging local debut. Ima Single Man ran on steadily for fourth after a one-off trip from midfield. He has been competitive in three of four starts after a March win. Great State made ground late down the outside after biding his time one from the rear. He is still settling in but has shown hints of ability in his five local runs. Newcomer to Hong Kong, Mighty Commander just plodded after a handy run one off the fence. He needed the outing. Prestige Always made some ground late after badly missing the kick. He is still acclimatising but has shown flashes of ability in his two starts. Rich Horse never landed a blow after a rail run from midfield.
