Daily Trophy drew clear 250m out after chasing the leading pair three wide without cover for a first win at his 18th start. He had been threatening to do that all season long on this surface. Speedy Fortune was no match for the winner but did run on well to finish a clear-cut second after a wide with cover trip travelling midfield from gate 11. It was a return to form following a downgrade. Cool Blue ran on nicely from near last from gate 12 to grab third. He is honest without winning over the dirt 1,200m. Super Joy ran on steadily to fill the frame after a rail run from behind midfield following a tardy start. He had an excuse and was carrying more weight. Diamond Soars gradually faded after dictating the run from gate two. He is becoming a well rated runner and might get away with a race shortly. Patch Of Watch kept on all right after a pace-stalking run from gate 10. It was clearly his best effort from seven starts following a stable change. Beau Gosse never landed a blow after a one-off trip from midfield. It was a disappointing effort following a stable transfer but he is a better horse on the turf

Horse No 1 BEAU GOSSE (G389) C Y Ho Atter the race, C Y Ho reported that his mount would benefit by being stepped up in distance for its next race start.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 2 SPEEDY FORTUNE (H097) Z Purton Sent for sampling post-race.

Horse No 3 SMART FOLKS (D343) B Thompson Bumped shortly after the start.

Near the 400 Metres was bumped by COOL BLUE which shifted out.

After the race, B Thompson reported that he was instructed to hold a forward position, but despite riding his mount along throughout the early stages, it failed to show sufficient pace to do so.

Bumped near the 400 Metres.

Near the 100 Metres K Teetan dropped his left rein for a number of strides.

Horse No 7 FIRE BALL (D087) H Bentley Shortly after the start was bumped by DAILY TROPHY which shifted in.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Horse No 8 SUPER JOY (G251) M Chadwick Jumped awkwardly and made contact with the left side of its barrier.

Horse No 9 DAILY TROPHY (H283) H Bowman Shifted in shortly after the start and was bumped.

Raced keenly in the early stages and got its head up when being steadied away from PATCH OF WATCH when it was crossed by that runner near the 700 Metres.

As a result, DAILY TROPHY remained in a three wide position where it raced without cover thereafter.

Sent for sampling post-race.

A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to have sustained small laceration wounds to the right hind fetlock.
