Recap by phillip woo

Mr Good Vibes dashed well after a patient ride second last to take control 50m out for a first win at his 12th start. He was suited by the race tempo but had been knocking on the door with third in two prior starts. Tactical Command wove a run near the inside travelling third last to just win a battle for second. He is building toward a win in recent runs. Commanding Missile lost second late after briefly hitting the front 100m out after a wide without cover trip from towards the rear. He has put together two solid efforts following a downgrade. Post-time favourite Colonel found a few too good after hitting the front near the 200m following a one-out, one-back run. Jazz Club made ground late to finish next best after biding his time one from the rear. It was one of his better efforts, but he did get a race run to suit. Punted late Happy Tango whacked on one paced over the last 100m after easing out of an early speed battle to settle in the box seat. Happily Friends ran on without threatening from near the rear but was briefly held up for a run from the 150m to 100m. Good View Glory was withdrawn by order of the stewards.
