Recap by phillip woo

Favourite Winning Gold ran on nicely to take control 100m out after hooking into the open 300m out following a one-off trip from midfield to make it two on the bounce and two thirds from four straight runs over the 1,400m. Yee Cheong Raider ran on nicely for second after finding the fence travelling behind midfield from gate 13. It was clearly his best run from four starts. Young Horizon stayed on well for third after a prominent run. It was another honest effort. Let's Do It made up a good deal of ground for fourth after settling last from gate 14. He should find his way into the winner's circle shortly in this grade. Golden Rise peaked on his run 50m out after briefly finding the front 150m out following a wide with cover trip from midfield. Happy Daily weakened over the final 100m after emerging with the lead from gate two. Prefer to see him ridden quieter in the run. Plunged late Soaring Bronco stayed on all right to finish next best after getting posted wide without cover from better than midfield. Leedox whacked on one paced when finally getting out of a traffic jam 100m out following a rail run from midfield.
