Race Eight : (654) - ON LAN HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1650Meters
Horse No 1 SIXTH GENERATION (G120) C Y Ho Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 2 TRADITION (J111) E C W Wong Jumped only fairly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 3 COMET SPLENDIDO (G071) Y L Chung After the 100 Metres was bumped.
Horse No 4 BEER PALACE (H361) L Ferraris After the race, L Ferraris reported that from the outside barrier he was instructed to ride his mount in a conservative manner in the early stages.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 6 CAN'T GO WONG (H087) A Badel Passing the 100 Metres was shifted to the inside of ATOMIC BEAUTY to obtain clear running and in doing so made contact with COMET SPLENDIDO, resulting in CAN'T GO WONG having difficulty obtaining clear running for a short distance thereafter.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 LINK (J177) K Teetan Jumped awkwardly and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Horse No 8 SUPER WISE DRAGON (G475) K De Melo Shifted out at the start and was bumped.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race found that horse to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported.
Horse No 9 THE KHAN (H489) A Atzeni Bumped shortly after the start and became unbalanced.
Horse No 10 ATOMIC BEAUTY (H066) B Avdulla Sustained a minor abrasion to the right hock whilst being transported to the racecourse.
Examined by the Veterinary Officer and passed suitable to race.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 11 INVINCIBLE MISSILE (C037) B Thompson Jumped only fairly.

Atomic Beauty kept finding after rolling to the lead 200m out following a speed-tracking role from gate six. It was a well deserved second win this season after filling the frame in six of his past seven starts. Sixth Generation stayed on nicely for second without threatening the winner after chasing the leading pair one off the fence. He's a winner waiting to happen at this level. Favourite Can't Go Wong finished nicely for third after a one-off trip from midfield. He has held his condition well to place in three starts after a win in March. Comet Splendido gradually faded after clearing to the lead 1,150m out from a tricky gate. He does appear to be close to finding a rating bottom. The Khan got going late for fifth without threatening the top four after a one-off trip from behind midfield. He has flashed ability but isn't the finished product. Punted late, Sure Joyful just plodded after a prominent run on the fence. He had no excuse. Invincible Missile ran on without threatening near the inside after making his run five back on the fence. He is long in the tooth but off this run, a step up to 1,800m should suit him better.
