Horse No 1 STUNNING PEACH (J301) Z Purton After the race, Z Purton stated that with his mount carrying top weight in today's event of 135 lbs and being still relatively inexperienced, it found it difficult to finish the race off on the "Yielding" track conditions.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Horse No 3 STAR MAC (J053) K Teetan Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 6 KARMA (G392) B Shinn From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Between the 350 Metres and the 250 Metres was held up for clear running behind STUNNING PEACH.
Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 7 VOYAGE SAMURAI (J026) K C Leung Sent for sampling post-race.
Horse No 8 HELENE WARRIOR (J207) L Hewitson Jumped only fairly.
Horse No 9 KA YING SUPERB (J091) M Chadwick Jumped awkwardly and lost ground.
Despite being ridden along in the early stages failed to show sufficient pace to hold a more forward position.
A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
Horse No 11 FOOLISH HEART (J054) A Atzeni A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

Karma produced a superb turn of foot to easily overhaul Voyage Samurai 20m out despite getting held up until near the 200m after a patient ride second last about 12 lengths off the lead at one point for a third win from 12 starts. He appreciated the sting out of the ground and fast pace. Post-time favourite Voyage Samurai did everything right but get the win after moving to the lead 100m out following a box seat run. It was another solid effort with step up in class and distance after three solid runs in Class Four. Powerful Wings ran on nicely to snatch third after a wide without cover trip from behind midfield. He is a well rated runner. Punted late Helene Warrior just lost out on a placing after a rails run from midfield. It was another progressive effort with a step up in distance at just his third local start. Star Mac made some ground late for fifth after a rails run from behind midfield. Frantanck was on his tippy toes 100m out after going too hard in front from gate 11. Early favourite Stunning Peach never landed a blow from midfield. He was having his first start in Hong Kong and may not have handled the going.
