Favourite Campione kept on gamely after finding the front from gate two to ring up a third win from five starts and remain perfect twice on this surface. Ka Ying Master closed off nicely along the inside to grab second 200m out after a handy run on the fence. He was able to back up a win last start in Class Three. Silver Fig ran on well after making his run one-off behind midfield to finish third without menacing the top pair. He rarely produces a bad run on this surface. Scores of Fun came from towards the rear to fill the frame. It was a return to form in his initial run on the dirt. Rock Ya Heart stayed on all right in his initial run on the surface after a two-to-three wide run with cover in midfield. He rarely produces a bad run but prefer him on the turf. Czarson ran on steadily after biding his time behind midfield on the fence. He's itching for a return to Class Three. We The South weakened over the last 100m after a pace-stalking run. Red Desert didn't find much in the run to the wire chasing the speed wide without cover.

Racing Incident Report

Race Seven: (746) - LAI PEK SHAN HANDICAP - Class 2 - 1200Meters

CZARSON shifted out at the start and bumped CAMPIONE.

ROCK YA HEART shifted out on jumping and inconvenienced RED DESERT and WE THE SOUTH.

SCORES OF FUN shifted out at the start and hampered TORONADO PHANTOM.

Then from the outside barriers, SCORES OF FUN and TORONADO PHANTOM were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

After the 800 Metres, RED DESERT was left racing wide and without cover.

Approaching the 300 Metres, CZARSON was checked away from the heels of ROCK YA HEART when held up for clear running behind that horse and inside SILVER FIG.

Passing the 200 Metres, WE THE SOUTH was shifted out away from the heels of KA YING MASTER (H Bentley) which shifted to the outside of CAMPIONE to obtain clear running.

H Bentley was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.

A veterinary inspection of MCLUCKY, TORONADO PHANTOM and RED DESERT immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

CAMPIONE and KA YING MASTER were sent for sampling.
