Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (792) - TATHONG CHANNEL HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1000Meters
COMFORT LIFE began awkwardly.
SUPER LUCKY shifted out at the start and bumped MAGIC SUPREME.
VIVA MAMA shifted out at the start and bumped FABULOUS EIGHT which shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of JOYFUL FORTUNE.
VIVA MAMA then became unbalanced a short distance after the start when bumped on the hindquarters by GOKO which began awkwardly and shifted out.
This resulted in GOKO losing ground.
PLANET FLYER began only fairly and then was bumped by MANAGEMENT SUPREME which was taken out by DUBLIN STAR.
Approaching the 700 Metres, FABULOUS EIGHT got it head on the side, lay out and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of JOYFUL FORTUNE which shifted in when racing greenly.
JOYFUL FORTUNE then continued to race greenly and shifted ground on a number of occasions which resulted in FABULOUS EIGHT, which continued to lay out, again being awkwardly placed close to the heels of JOYFUL FORTUNE near the 400 Metres.
Near the 450 Metres, ALL THE WAY became badly unbalanced and lost ground when momentarily crowded for room outside STAR PRESENT which was racing tight outside GOKO (N Callan) which, when improving to be close to the heels of MANAGEMENT SUPREME, was awkwardly placed behind that horse as MANAGEMENT SUPREME was directed out by JOYFUL FORTUNE.
Whilst there were a number of circumstances which contributed to this incident, nonetheless N Callan was advised to exercise due care when improving into tight runs in similar circumstances.
Near the 200 Metres, CARRY THE DIAMOND shifted out when racing greenly.
After the 100 Metres, MANAGEMENT SUPREME raced tight outside FABULOUS EIGHT.
After the race, MAGIC SUPREME (Apprentice K H Chan) was found to be marked.
Apprentice Chan was fined the sum of $5,000.
A veterinary inspection of ALL THE WAY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
JOYFUL FORTUNE and FABULOUS EIGHT were sent for sampling.

Firming favourite Joyful Fortune led and drew clear for a convincing debut win in a class record time. It was a very professional performance and he looks a talented type. Fabulous Eight kept on well for second after a prominent run. Claimer Jerry Chau Chun-lok did little wrong but he ran into a smart one. Carry The Diamond ran on well from midfield in the centre of the track to snatch third on the wire from Dublin Star at huge odds. It was a good effort on debut and he looks a useful sprinter for the stable next season. Dublin Star just failed to place after travelling better than midfield from a wide gate. He's been racing consistently well all season long. Management Supreme came up onepaced after a handy run. He's shown some potential in his four starts but is still a work in progress. Magic Supreme held his ground after travelling near the speed on the far side.
