Favourite Circuit Number Two just out-duelled Friends Of Ka Ying over the last 250m after pulling out passing the 800m to serve it up to that one for back-to-back wins. Friends Of Ka Ying gave a cheeky sight in front to just miss. He keeps promising without delivering but does appears to have a win in him shortly in this grade. Patriot Hero ran on steadily from the rear of the field to finish a distant third. He has flashed ability at times but isn't genuine. Punted late Cheerful Giggles made ground down the outside after travelling near the rear following a slow break. It was a better effort following a stable change and he's crying out for a longer trip. Ho Ho Feel closed off better settling one from the back. It was a better effort following a run on Wednesday. Mongolian Legend came up flat over the last 250m after being unbalanced by the eventual winner 780m out. He'll come on from this experience.

Racing Incident Report

Race Three: (21) - DONGGUAN HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1600Meters

CHEERFUL GIGGLES and CHEERFUL STAR began only fairly.

Shortly after the start, PATRIOT HERO was steadied and shifted across behind runners to obtain cover.

Approaching the 1100 Metres, HO HO FEEL commenced to travel keenly and was steadied away from the heels of CHEERFUL GIGGLES.

Making the turn near the 900 Metres, MONGOLIAN LEGEND got its head on the side and lay out.

MONGOLIAN LEGEND was then taken wider by CIRCUIT NUMBER TWO passing the 800 Metres when that horse shifted to the outside of FRIENDS OF KA YING.

After this, MONGOLIAN LEGEND was left racing wide and without cover.

Also making the turn near the 900 Metres, HO HO FEEL raced tight inside CHEERFUL GIGGLES which was crowded for room inside CHEERFUL STAR (C Murray) which shifted in marginally.

C Murray was advised to ensure that he leaves comfortable racing room for runners to his inside in similar circumstances.

In the early part of the Straight, HO HO FEEL was shifted to the outside of runners to obtain clear running.

Approaching the 100 Metres, Apprentice M F Poon (HO HO FEEL) was struck on the left arm by the whip of C Schofield (CHEERFUL GIGGLES).

Close to the finishing line, HO HO FEEL was awkwardly placed outside the heels of PATRIOT HERO and consequently was not able to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race.

In the Straight, CIRCUIT NUMBER TWO got its head on the side and lay in and passing the 200 Metres brushed FRIENDS OF KA YING.

After this, CIRCUIT NUMBER TWO and FRIENDS OF KA YING raced tight and then over the concluding stages FRIENDS OF KA YING shifted out marginally and brushed CIRCUIT NUMBER TWO.

CIRCUIT NUMBER TWO and FRIENDS OF KA YING were sent for sampling.
