Well-backed late, Star Shine snuck through along the inside to put his head in front when it counted following a rails run behind midfield to notch a third win from eight starts. Hezthewonforus kept up a strong gallop after rolling forward to lead at the 900m from a wide gate. The three-year-old has more upside to come. Favourite Solar Patch was given a perfect ride but couldn't find anymore 50m out after looming a winning chance 150m out. He's done very little wrong in his five starts. Dragon General ran on strongly travelling second from the back to finish a non-threatening fourth. He's ended the campaign in a good patch of form without winning . Keen Venture made some ground late down the outside without menacing from the tail of the field. He'll be a winner waiting to happen with a drop into Class Three. Xiang Bai Qi made some headway without threatening travelling fourth from the back but has shown some potential in his four starts.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eleven: (807) - THE HONG KONG RACEHORSE OWNERS ASSOCIATION TROPHY (HANDICAP) - Class 2 - 1400Meters

XIANG BAI QI began only fairly and shortly after the start raced tight outside STAR SHINE which shifted out.

MY DARLING shifted out at the start and bumped KINGSFIELD.

From a wide barrier, DRAGON GENERAL was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Despite being vigorously ridden in the early stages, APOLLO'S CHOICE failed to muster speed.

Approaching the 700 Metres, MR GENUINE raced in restricted room between ATTENTION and SOLAR PATCH which shifted out marginally when awkwardly placed close to the heels of LOCKHEED.

Passing the 600 Metres, MY DARLING was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MR GENUINE which was racing tight outside SOLAR PATCH which shifted to the outside of LOCKHEED.

Approaching the 500 Metres, KINGSFIELD raced tight between DRAGON LIPS and MR GENUINE which shifted out.

Passing the 500 Metres, KINGSFIELD and DRAGON LIPS bumped.

TEAM FORTUNE, which was following KINGSFIELD, was inconvenienced as a consequence.

Right on the finishing line, SOLAR PATCH raced tight outside HEZTHEWONFORUS which shifted out under pressure.

Throughout the race, DRAGON LIPS travelled very wide and without cover.

The performance of ATTENTION, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, ATTENTION will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of KINGSFIELD and ATTENTION immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that APOLLO'S CHOICE had bled from both nostrils and was found to be lame in its right front leg.

Before being allowed to race again, APOLLO'S CHOICE will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

SOLAR PATCH, STAR SHINE and HEZTHEWONFORUS were sent for sampling.

After the running of Race 2, the track classification was officially changed from "Good to Yielding??to "Yielding?? This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.

As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 2 being run on a track rated "Yielding??
