Backed to jump a clear favourite, Super Hoppy came with a bold move from behind midfield to take control 50m out for back-to-back wins following a stable change and switch to the Valley. He can continue his winning ways up in grade off a light weight. Super Leader made full use of gate one as expected travelling midfield on the fence but couldn't hold off the winner after poking his head in front at the 100m. Bulb Elite closed well travelling worse than midfield to fill a placing. He's hit a bottom with placings once at each track and can breakthrough soon. Encore Boy was on his tippy toes 50m out after surging to the front soon after straightening following a speed-tracking run. He had no excuse and will need to find an easier race. Storm Signal stayed on without menacing following a prominent run. Smart Boy was getting going late from the rear of the field. He loves this Valley trip but appears to be on his mark following a second win this term.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eight: (731) - VIOLET HILL HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1200Meters

From wide barriers, PATRIOTISM and SMART BOY were steadied shortly after the start to obtain cover.

Passing the 1100 Metres, EXTREMELY FUN and WALDORF bumped.

WALDORF then shifted in, resulting in EVERBRAVE being steadied.

Making the first turn near the 1000 Metres, BULB ELITE got its head up on a number of occasions when being steadied to obtain cover behind STORM SIGNAL.

Making the turn near the 550 Metres, ENCORE BOY raced tight inside GAMECHANGERS which shifted in marginally when racing inside EXTREMELY FUN.

After being taken out by STORM SIGNAL, WALDORF made the Home Turn awkwardly.

Passing the 300 Metres, BULB ELITE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of EXTREMELY FUN when being shifted to the inside of that horse after being disappointed for running between EXTREMELY FUN and STORM SIGNAL which shifted in.

EXTREMELY FUN lost its left hind plate at the 250 Metres.

Approaching the 200 Metres, SUPER HOPPY was awkwardly placed outside SUPER LEADER which shifted to the outside of ENCORE BOY to improve.

In the Straight, ENCORE BOY (K Teetan) lay out under pressure and near the 150 Metres shifted out and bumped SUPER LEADER.

K Teetan was advised that in similar circumstances he would be expected to stop riding and straighten his mounts prior to making contact with another runner.

Throughout the race, EXTREMELY FUN travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground.

STORM SIGNAL lost its right front plate after the race.

A veterinary inspection of EVERBRAVE immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

SUPER HOPPY and SUPER LEADER were sent for sampling.

After the running of Race 3, the track classification was officially changed from "Good to Yielding??to "Good?? This change in the opinion of the Stewards should be recorded as being retrospective.

As a consequence of this, the official results will show Race 3 being run on a track rated "Good??
