Recap by phillip woo

Exponents pressed forward three-deep from a wide gate to sit one off in second outside the good pace of Little Fantasy, assumed the front 350m out and kept up a strong gallop to easily open his win account at his 16th start. Scarborough Fair kept plugging away to just hold second. There's clearly a win in him after waking up to place second in three of his past five starts. Dutch Windmill closed well after a ducking-and-weaving run following a rail run behind midfield to nearly get up for second. He's clearly a winner waiting to happen and acts even better at the Valley. Yourthewonforme ran on after a deep run with cover in midfield to finish a non-threatening fourth. He might be in need of a rest now after a productive campaign. Telecom Titan closed reasonably well after travelling second last following a slow break. He has shown positive signs in three of four starts.

Racing Incident Report

Race Three: (715) - RACING HERITAGE HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1400Meters

TELECOM TITAN began awkwardly, shifted out at the start and bumped GOLDEN DEER, causing both horses to become unbalanced.

Shortly after the start, SHOWING CHARACTER was bumped by DUTCH WINDMILL which shifted out.

From a wide barrier, GOLD TALENT was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.

Despite being hard ridden for a considerable distance in the early stages, OTOUTO failed to muster speed and subsequently travelled wide and without cover before giving ground in the Straight.

Approaching the 700 Metres, SUPERIOR BOY was taken wider and without cover by YOURTHEWONFORME which shifted out.

CASH COURIER had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.

Passing the 300 Metres, CASH COURIER was awkwardly placed inside the heels of DUTCH WINDMILL.

Over the final 100 Metres, YOURTHEWONFORME lay in under pressure.

Passing the 100 Metres, CASH COURIER was shifted in away from the heels of TELECOM TITAN which shifted in under pressure.

A veterinary inspection of SHOWING CHARACTER and OTOUTO immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

OTOUTO, EXPONENTS and SCARBOROUGH FAIR were sent for sampling.
