Racing Incident Report
Race Seven: (682) - BLAZING SPEED HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1800Meters
As the start was effected, MARZOUQ momentarily turned its head to the right and consequently was slow to begin.
A short distance after the start, MARZOUQ was steadied away from the heels of KING OF MONGOLIA when racing in restricted room between that horse and FLASH FAMOUS, both of which shifted ground.
Despite being vigorously ridden for some distance in the early stages, HIGH VOLATILITY failed to muster speed.
From wide barriers, GENERAL SHERMAN, GOOD OMEN and ACCLAIMED LIGHT were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 1600 Metres, HIGH VOLATILITY was awkwardly placed between JADE FORTUNE and DYNAMIC EAGLE which shifted in marginally.
Approaching the 600 Metres, HIGH VOLATILITY was taken wider by SKY MELODY which shifted out.
Passing the 400 Metres, SKY MELODY and JADE FORTUNE raced tight.
Near the 300 Metres, JADE FORTUNE was eased away from the heels of CONSORT which shifted out to obtain clear running.
A veterinary inspection of PATRIOT HERO and MARZOUQ immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
MARZOUQ, CONSORT and GLORIOUS FOREVER were sent for sampling.

Consort came with a withering run after travelling behind midfield to run down the uncontested leader Glorious Forever to finally get the win on the board at his 20th start. Glorious Forever hung on gamely to finish a clear second after setting a good pace in front leading by six lengths at one point from a wide gate. Acclaimed Light closed well three from the right after settling five from the back to fill a placing. General Sherman finished well after travelling third from the rear to just miss a placing. Dynamic Eagle held his ground following a prominent run. He doesn't have much upside off his current mark. Good Omen ran on without menacing after settling last from a wide gate. Favourite Marzouq produced only a grinding performance travelling fourth from the last.
