Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (238) - HANKOW HANDICAP - Class 5 - 1800Meters
GENTLEMEN began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of HAPPY FRIENDSHIP which in turn shifted in and bumped DOUBLE POINT.
Shortly after the start, ROCK THE TREE was bumped by RHODE ASSASSIN which shifted in after being bumped by DYNAMIC LIONS.
From wide barriers, EQUITY DOCTRINE, MY FOLKS and CELESTIAL ARROW were all shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
After travelling a short distance, GENTLEMEN became unbalanced and lost ground when bumped by HAPPY FRIENDSHIP.
Passing the winning post on the first occasion, HAPPY FRIENDSHIP got its head up when being steadied to obtain cover.
After the 1400 Metres, MY FOLKS (K C Ng), which was travelling keenly, got its head up when being checked away from the heels of EQUITY DOCTRINE.
K C Ng stated that when this happened MY FOLKS commenced to prove difficult to settle, got its head on the side and hung out, resulting in the horse racing wide and without cover.
He said he therefore allowed MY FOLKS to improve its position after the 1100 Metres when obliged to race wide.
Approaching the 1300 Metres, DYNAMIC LIONS raced in restricted room close to the heels of RHODE ASSASSIN.
Passing the 1300 Metres, BEST JADE TRIUMPH got its head up when awkwardly placed outside the heels of HAPPY FRIENDSHIP.
Approaching the 1000 Metres, EQUITY DOCTRINE was awkwardly placed behind BEST JADE TRIUMPH.
Approaching the 800 Metres, EQUITY DOCTRINE was bumped by DOUBLE POINT which shifted out after commencing to travel keenly and improving to be racing close to the heels of HAPPY FRIENDSHIP.
Near the 150 Metres, EQUITY DOCTRINE shifted in and bumped DOUBLE POINT.
A veterinary inspection of HAPPY FRIENDSHIP and FAITHFUL BOY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
HAPPY FRIENDSHIP, FURIOUS PEGASUS and WINNINGLI were sent for sampling.

Well-punted late Furious Pegasus took control 180m out after being ridden positively from gate 13 to settle one off in fourth to notch a second win from four starts this term for rookie trainer Frankie Lor Fu-chuen. He handles both surfaces and has the tools to win another in the grade. Winningli was nicely rated after clearing to the lead before the first turn from a wide gate and kept on well for second with late-market action. He's itching to salute. Rhode Assassin stayed on well following a midfield run. He's nothing special but certainly capable of a big run on this surface. Double Point finished well from near last to fill a Quartet spot. It was a big effort off a big weight but is better suited at a mile. Dynamic Lions kept on all right without menacing following a midfield run. He pops up for a minor slice now and then. Favourite Happy Friendship did not fire after easing back to sit one off behind midfield after covering ground early on.
