Recap by phillip woo

Generous Bobo was nicely rated on the front and kept on very carrying a light weight for an upset win. He had numerous unlucky runs earlier in the term but isn't a reliable type. Good For You closed off nicely after travelling fourth from the rear to grab second 100m out. He continued his consistent form but isn't far off a rating's top. Experto Crede was just out-finished for second after travelling fifth from the rear following a tardy break. He's turned the corner in his past three and should be winning early next season. Autopay grudgingly gave way after pressing forward three deep from a tricky gate to stalk the leader. He's rounded into form in his past three and will be winning shortly. Happy And Healthy was withdrawn by the stewards. Diamond Mysterious ran on late without menacing after travelling second from the rear. He continues to hit the line well without winning but isn't far off a bottom. Jolly Gains had excuses after covering ground.

Racing Incident Report

Race Six: (802) - SIGHT WINNER HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Meters

When being saddled, HAPPY AND HEALTHY was noted to be lame in the right front leg.

Acting on advice from the Veterinary Officer that HAPPY AND HEALTHY was not suitable to race, that horse was withdrawn by order of the Stewards.

Before being allowed to race again, HAPPY AND HEALTHY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

As the start was effected, ROYALE ELEGANCE became fractious and lunged at the front gate, resulting in the gate opening momentarily prior to the remaining gates.

EXPERTO CREDE began awkwardly and bumped ROYALE ELEGANCE.

SUPERIOR BOY shifted out at the start and bumped GOOD FOR YOU.

AUTOPAY stumbled at the start.

From wide barriers, UNLEASHED DRAGON and REAL DEAL were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

CHARITY KINGDOM, which travelled wide and without cover throughout the race, lost its right front plate passing the 1000 Metres.

GOOD FOR YOU got its head up on a number of occasions when awkwardly placed close to the heels of MONEY WINNER passing the 700 Metres.

For some distance passing the 700 Metres, ROYALE ELEGANCE (A Sanna) proved very difficult to settle and got its head up when being checked away from the heels of REMARKABLE.

REAL DEAL, which was following ROYALE ELEGANCE, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse in consequence.

ROYALE ELEGANCE continued to race close to the heels of REMARKABLE and near the 550 Metres shifted out away from behind that horse, resulting in MONEY WINNER becoming badly unbalanced when crowded for room between ROYALE ELEGANCE and JOLLY GAINS which also became unbalanced after being bumped by MONEY WINNER.

A Sanna was advised that whilst the Stewards accepted that ROYALE ELEGANCE was proving difficult to settle, nonetheless in the opinion of the Stewards, he should have made more effort than he did on this occasion to prevent ROYALE ELEGANCE from shifting out away from the heels of REMARKABLE.

A Sanna was severely reprimanded and advised that he would be expected to make a greater effort to prevent his mounts from shifting ground in similar circumstances.

Passing the 400 Metres, REMARKABLE was shifted to the outside of AUTOPAY after being disappointed for running between that horse and GENEROUS BOBO.

For some distance approaching and passing the 300 Metres, MONEY WINNER had difficulty obtaining clear running when improving between CHARITY KINGDOM and SUPERIOR BOY which shifted out.

Over the final 300 Metres, AUTOPAY lay out under pressure.

Throughout the race, JOLLY GAINS travelled wide and without cover.

The performance of ROYALE ELEGANCE, which finished tailed out, was considered unacceptable.

Before being allowed to race again, ROYALE ELEGANCE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.

A veterinary inspection of JOLLY GAINS and SUPERIOR BOY immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

EXPERTO CREDE, GENEROUS BOBO and GOOD FOR YOU were sent for sampling.

<17/7/2017 Additional Veterinary Report>SUPERIOR BOY, which performed poorly, was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said at that time there were no significant findings.

SUPERIOR BOY was again examined by the Veterinary Officer at the stables of Trainer C W Chang this morning.

He said at this time he noted the horse to be lame in its left front leg.

Before being allowed to race again, SUPERIOR BOY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
