Jolly Jolly enjoyed an easy time after clearing to lead from an awkward gate 1,000m out and kept up a strong gallop for a fourth win from 13 starts. The key was a drop in grade and the field wasn't a classic. Bring It On finished strongly after travelling behind midfield along the fence to inject some value into the race. He had shown some progress in his opening two starts and the step up to 1,400m was ideal. Roundabout made his usual bid, this time after a deep run behind midfield, to get up in deep stretch for a placing. He's running consistently without threatening the winner at this level following a facile win in Class Four. Favourite Beauty Kingdom kept plugging away after a deep run travelling fore of midfield after a tardy break from a tricky gate to finish level for fourth. He's running well without winning over the 1,400m. Big Bang Bong had every chance following a box-seat run in his first try over the 1,400m after an upset win over the Valley 1,650m but only plodded over the final 100m. The mile suits him better.

Racing Incident Report

Race Nine: (276)-LUKFOOK JEWELLERY CONVERGENCE OF LOVE COLLECTION HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1400Metres

BEAUTY KINGDOM began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped TANG FLEMING which became unbalanced.

After this, BEAUTY KINGDOM was ridden along to obtain a forward position, however, throughout the race travelled wide and without cover.

BRING IT ON shifted out at the start and bumped the hindquarters of BIG BANG BONG which became unbalanced.

A short distance later, BRING IT ON was crowded for room between BIG BANG BONG and AGREE, both of which shifted ground.

From the outside barriers, ASSOCIATION FANS and KA YING KID were shifted across behind runners shortly after the start.

Approaching and passing the 1100 Metres, CAPE THE FAITH commenced to travel keenly and was awkwardly placed close to the heels of ROUNDABOUT.

After this, CAPE THE FAITH continued to travel keenly and then hung out until the entrance to the Straight.

Approaching the 700 Metres, KA YING KID was crowded for room inside LE PANACHE which, when being ridden along to maintain its position, shifted in.

SILVERFIELD had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the Straight.

Approaching the 300 Metres, BRING IT ON was struck over the nose by the whip of K C Ng (SILLY BUDDIES).

BEAUTY KINGDOM, JOLLY JOLLY and BRING IT ON were sent for sampling.
