Racing Incident Report
Race Eight: (275)-THE LUKFOOK JEWELLERY CUP (HANDICAP) - Class 2 - 1000Metres
HIGH FIVE shifted in abruptly on jumping, resulting in ARCHIPPUS and SANGRIA being hampered and LUCKY EVER being inconvenienced.ACCEPTED began awkwardly and shifted in at the start, resulting in MOST BEAUTIFUL being crowded for room.
Over the final 300 Metres, MOST BEAUTIFUL raced with its head on the side and lay in under pressure.
Close to the finishing line, ARCHIPPUS shifted out and bumped HIGH FIVE.
When questioned, K C Leung (LUCKY EVER) stated that he rode his mount along for a considerable distance in the early stages to have it maintain its position at the back of the field.
He said after the 600 Metres LUCKY EVER changed lead legs and commenced to hang out.
He said LUCKY EVER continued to hang out and as the horse did not feel comfortable in its action, he eased it down over the latter stages of the race.
He added when pulling up after the race, LUCKY EVER shifted out abruptly towards the outside rail.
He said whilst the horse did not appear to be lame after the race, it did not appear correct in its action.
A veterinary inspection of LUCKY EVER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
Before being allowed to race again, LUCKY EVER will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
A veterinary inspection of ADVENTURER immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
BAD BOY and MY LITTLE FRIEND were sent for sampling.

Favourite Bad Boy drew clear after being pestered for the early lead by second favourite Adventurer. He'll be able to hold his own up in Class One off a lighter weight but may need to stretch out over 1,200m in the future to open up his options. My Little Friend finished nicely from midfield to easily take second 120m out in a return to form over this preferred course and distance with the blinkers back on. Most Beautiful kept plugging away following a prominent run on the stands side to just get the bob in for a placing in a pleasing debut. A win won't be far away. So Fast just failed to place travelling underneath Most Beautiful. He's naturally returning to form in his past two of three starts after a stable change but doesn't have many points in hand. Adventurer weakened 150m out after vying for the early lead. The rise in weight and two-month break between runs appeared to be his undoing.
