Racing Incident Report
Race Four: (116)-KAM SHAN HANDICAP (Sec1) - Class 4 - 1200Metres
Shortly after the start, WINNING TALENT was crowded for room between GREAT TOPLIGHT and DASHING SUPER which shifted in.From wide barriers, LOVE CHUNGHWA, WINNER ST PAUL'S and NEVER BETTER were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
Approaching the 1100 Metres, DASHING SUPER was steadied to obtain a position with cover close to the rail.
Passing the 1000 Metres, NASHASHUK momentarily raced tight between ELECTRONIC EMPIRE and GREAT TOPLIGHT which shifted in.
Passing the 850 Metres, NASHASHUK was steadied to avoid the heels of GREAT TOPLIGHT (O Doleuze) which shifted in when not properly clear.
O Doleuze was reprimanded and advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear when shifting ground in future.
Approaching the 800 Metres, LOVE CHUNGHWA momentarily raced in restricted room inside WINNING TALENT.
After the 800 Metres, NASHASHUK proved very difficult to settle and got its head up for some distance when awkwardly placed close to the heels of GREAT TOPLIGHT.
Rounding the Home Turn, HAYMAKER raced tight outside WINNING TALENT which shifted out into clear running.
Passing the 200 Metres, HAYMAKER was crowded for room between NEVER BETTER and WINNING TALENT which shifted out.
Near the 150 Metres, the whip of Z Purton (ELECTRONIC EMPIRE) was knocked from his grasp by the whip of M L Yeung (OCTAL LUCK).
Close to the finishing line, OCTAL LUCK raced in restricted room inside GREAT TOPLIGHT.
After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that WINNING TALENT was lame in its left front leg.
Before being allowed to race again, WINNING TALENT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
NASHASHUK, SUPREME FLIGHT and LOVE CHUNGHWA were sent for sampling.

Supreme Flight had just enough to hold off the fast-finishing Love Chunghwa after driving forward to lead from a wide gate 950m out to land a betting move. He loves a wet track. Love Chunghwa finished nicely after travelling four back along the fence following a sluggish break. He's a winner waiting to happen after catching the eye in both outings this term. Great Toplight just staved off the late-surge of Never Better for a placing following a one-out, one-back run. He hasn't been far off the mark in his three outings this term but appears to have hit his mark following a win in May. Never Better finished very well furthest out after travelling third from the rear from a wide gate to just miss a placing. He's run well in defeat from wide gates in both outings this term and will be hard to beat from a proper draw. Favourite Nashashuk only plodded following a one-off run in midfield. From his trials and pedigree, his best may come with a switch to the dirt course.
