Racing Incident Report
Race Three: (067)-NANJING HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1400Metres
G-ONE UNION, Standby Declared Starter, was withdrawn on 29.9.16 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left hind).Before being allowed to race again, G-ONE UNION will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
HIGH VOLATILITY turned its head to the left as the start was effected and consequently lost ground.
At the 1250 Metres, GO BEAUTY GO was steadied to avoid the heels of DRAGON WARRIOR which shifted in.
Rounding the Home Turn, COOL AND NEAT was awkwardly placed behind GO BEAUTY GO and was unable to improve.
The performances of AEROLUMINANCE and GREENERY FORTUNE, which finished tailed out, were considered unacceptable.
Before being allowed to race again, AEROLUMINANCE and GREENERY FORTUNE will be required to perform to the satisfaction of the Stewards in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
When questioned regarding the improved performance of KING'S MAN, Trainer P F Yiu stated that although KING'S MAN had benefited from the experience of two race starts towards the end of last season and had matured somewhat during the off season break, the horse's winning performance today came as a surprise to connections.
After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on WORLD RECORD at the request of Trainer A T Millard.
The Veterinary Surgeon reported that this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea.
Before being allowed to race again, WORLD RECORD will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
DRAGON WARRIOR, KING'S MAN and COOL AND NEAT were sent for sampling.

The race was run at a good clip which set it up for the backmarkers. Sensationally-backed King's Man came on strongly one off from behind midfield when pulling out soon after straightening to win going away 150m out at his third career start. He was suited by the pace and a gear change. Cool And Neat still showed his inexperience in the run but closed off well after travelling outside King's Man to get up for second in an improved run with the blinkers going on. World Record came from last to fill a placing. He needs a good pace which he got here. Favourite Dragon Warrior finished best of those up on the pace to fill a Quartet spot after a one-out, one-back run. It was nonetheless an encouraging first-up run. High Volatility ran on after blowing the start. He has shown improvement in both outings this term.
