Fancied late Multimax travelled one off in second, rushed to the front 840m out, straightened two lengths on top, was headed by favourite D B Pin 300m out and fought back to grab victory in the final few strides. D B Pin jumped alertly to lead until handing up to Multimax, reclaimed the front 300m out and threw away the win close to home. Smiling Glory was steadily closing the gap late following a box-seat run. Spring Win made some ground with three wider out following a one-off run in midfield to fill a Quartet spot. Dashing Super kept up a steadily gallop near the inside following a rails run in midfield to pick up a pay slip. Happy Fiery Dragon made some progress four deep from behind midfield without menacing. Smiling Charm made a mild bid near the inside following a rails run behind midfield. Massive Millennium pulled out five deep following a handy run with cover and only plodded when popped the question.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (777)-SIGHT WINNER HANDICAP - Class 4 - 1200Metres

After being loaded, both WIN FOR CHARITY and MASSIVE MILLENNIUM became fractious.

Both horses were unloaded from the barriers and examined by the Veterinary Officer who said that they were fit to start.

Before being allowed to race again, WIN FOR CHARITY and MASSIVE MILLENNIUM will be required to perform satisfactorily in a stalls test.

GARLIC YEAH began very awkwardly, bounded in the air at the start and then stumbled on landing.

HAPPY FIERY DRAGON began only fairly.

SMILING CHARM shifted out at the start, resulting in WIN FOR CHARITY being crowded for room inside SOUL ACHIEVER which became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters.

From the outside barrier, STRIKING STAR was steadied in the early stages and shifted across behind runners.

Passing the 750 Metres, SMILING CHARM became unbalanced when racing greenly.

Approaching the 400 Metres, when attempting to improve between DASHING SUPER and HAPPY FIERY DRAGON, SMILING CHARM got its head on the side and shifted in away from HAPPY FIERY DRAGON which was shifted to the inside of MASSIVE MILLENNIUM to improve.

Then passing the 300 Metres, SMILING CHARM was steadied and shifted to the inside of DASHING SUPER when disappointed for running between that horse which shifted out and HAPPY FIERY DRAGON.

Close to the finishing line, HAPPY FIERY DRAGON was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SMILING GLORY and as a consequence was unable to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race.

After the race, the Veterinary Officer conformed WORLD CITY to be a "roarer" which had previously been reported MULTIMAX and D B PIN were sent for sampling.
