Courageous Brother settled one off the fence in fourth with cover, pulled out coming to the final bend, advanced to share the lead four deep at the 300m with Magic Star and gradually inched clear for a maiden win at his sixth start with a drop in grade. Magic Star fought on well after poking his head on top at the 400m following a speed-stalking run. Ambitious Speedy darted to the fence behind midfield from a wide gate, swung the final bend near five deep and finished well to grab a placing 50m out despite a return to Class Four. Team Sweet was ridden cold from a wide gate, swung the final bend widest out and was getting going late to just grab fourth from Chancellor. He wasn't suited by the tempo of the race. Chancellor settled one off in midfield, rounded the final bend six deep and kept grinding away to just miss a Quartet spot. He's better suited over the mile nowadays. Mellifluent got going with three wider out after travelling three deep with cover behind midfield. Thanksgiving lost a placing 50m out after enjoying an easy time on the lead. Raging Bull was a non-factor travelling fourth from the back after bombing the start. Mighty Equus struggled after missing the kick as well.

Racing Incident Report

Race Four: (419)-LUNG YAT HANDICAP (Sec1) - Class 4 - 1400Metres

As the start was effected, RAGING BULL lifted its front feet off the ground and consequently lost a considerable amount of ground.

Before being allowed to race again, RAGING BULL will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial.

Also as the start was effected, MIGHTY EQUUS (Apprentice H N Wong) became fractious and bounded in the air, resulting in the horse losing a considerable amount of ground.

In this incident, Apprentice Wong struck his head on the stall structure.

Before being allowed to race again, MIGHTY EQUUS will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial.

PLENTY OF SPEED began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped MELLIFLUENT.

Shortly after the start, AMBITIOUS SPEEDY became unbalanced after being bumped by MAGIC STAR which shifted out after making contact with SUGAR CITY.

From wide barriers, GLORY SUNSHINE and TEAM SWEET were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

In the early stages, HAR HAR CHARMING proved very difficult to settle and near the 1250 Metres, when getting its head up and over-racing, was checked when crowded for room between SUGAR CITY and CHANCELLOR which shifted out.

Passing the 800 Metres, RAGING BULL got its head up and proved very difficult to settle when being checked away from the heels of AMBITIOUS SPEEDY.

Near the 750 Metres, TEAM SWEET was awkwardly placed close to the heels of HAR HAR CHARMING which again got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of SUGAR CITY.

COURAGEOUS BROTHER lost its left hind plate near the 700 Metres.

In the early part of the Straight, MAGIC STAR got its head on the side and lay in under pressure.

Passing the 200 Metres, RAGING BULL was held up for clear running when awkwardly placed behind PLENTY OF SPEED which drifted in.

Throughout the race, SUGAR CITY travelled wide and without cover.

TEAM SWEET, COURAGEOUS BROTHER and MAGIC STAR were sent for sampling.
