Noble Alpha enjoyed a lovely run on the back of the speed after jumping alertly, got the gap between the leaders at the 250m, hit the front 100m out and just held off Executive Mandate for the win with money coming for him late. Executive Mandate sustained his run a long ways after pulling out four deep at the 500m following a deep run from behind midfield and kept coming three from the right to just miss. He's ready to win. Horse Aplenty cleared to lead from a wide gate 1,250m out, straightened a length on top and grudgingly gave way. Little Dragon settled one-out, one-back, straightened four deep and kept grinding away to just miss a placing. Jun Huo travelled one off with cover behind midfield from a tricky gate, rounded the final bend with two wider out and was getting going without menacing. Trump was coming back to the field over the final 150m after stalking the speed.

Racing Incident Report

Race Eleven: (234)-SALISBURY HANDICAP - Class 3 - 1650Metres

LUCKY HAMMER began awkwardly and lost ground.

After this, LUCKY HAMMER was ridden along to improve its position.

GLORIOUS SUN, which was leaning on the outside of its barrier, shifted out abruptly at the start, causing CHARITY PLENTY and TIANHUANG to be badly crowded for room inside CARTOON FAY FAY which became unbalanced after being bumped on the hindquarters by TIANHUANG.

From wide barriers, VANILLA and GOLDLAND DANCER were shifted across behind runners in the early stages.

Near the 1300 Metres, LUCKY HAMMER was awkwardly placed close to the heels of NOBLE ALPHA.

After the 900 Metres, CARTOON FAY FAY was left racing wide and without cover.

Rounding the Home Turn, TIANHUANG and JUN HUO raced tight as TIANHUANG attempted to shift out into clear running.

Near the 150 Metres, CARTOON FAY FAY was steadied away from the heels of EXECUTIVE MANDATE after being bumped by LITTLE DRAGON which became unbalanced after making contact with CARTOON FAY FAY.

Near the 100 Metres, Apprentice K K Chiong (LUCKY HAMMER) dropped her whip.

After the race, J Moreira stated that after being badly crowded for room on jumping, he had to ride TIANHUANG throughout the race in an attempt to have the horse maintain its position and travel better.

He said this was consistent with the manner in which the horse had raced previously.

He said in the early part of the Straight the horse was initially one-paced, however, found the line fairly over the concluding stages.

A veterinary inspection of TIANHUANG immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.

TIANHUANG, NOBLE ALPHA and EXECUTIVE MANDATE were sent for sampling.

Trainer P O'Sullivan was fined the sum of $10,000 for entering WILLIE WAY (T281), an unraced PPG, in the Longines International Jockeys' Championship Race (Class 4, 1650 Metres) which is restricted to horses which have raced either in Hong Kong or overseas at the time of entry.

Additional Veterinary Reports from Happy Valley Racemeeting on 2 December 2015 Subsequent official veterinary inspections (without endoscopy) of PEACE COMBINATION, FOREVER FUN, SOUTHCHINA COMMAND, YEUNG SING, RED ADVENTURE, BORN TO RACE, JOYFUL THE GREAT, MAC ROW, MONSIEUR MOGOK, ROCKET LET WIN, CRAIG'S FORTUNE, REDWOOD BABY, HAPPY ROCKY, FANTASTIC FEELING, GRACE HEART, GOLDEN CHOPSTICKS and HARBOUR ALERT revealed no apparent abnormality.

Racing Laboratory tests of LUCKY PROFIT, OUR HONOUR, NOVEL START, FRUITFUL CHAMPION, MASTER STEED, WHISTLE BLOWER, MY LEGEND, IDYLLIC WIND, CONFUCIUS SPIRIT, OXFORD CHARLEY, HONG KONG FAT, KEEN TACTICS, BRIGHT CONCEPT, LIGHTNING PEGASUS, PEARL WARM WARM, PHOTON WILLIE, STRONG FOUNDATION, ROMANTIC CASH, GOLDEN CHOPSTICKS, SUPEROI, SPEEDY LONGWAH and HAPPY PLACE (25.11.15) proved negative.
