Former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola is to replace Roberto Mancini as manager of English soccer champions Manchester City in the summer, the claimed. Guardiola, 41, stepped down from the Barcelona job at the end of last season having guided them to 14 trophies in his four years in charge, including two Champions League titles. "It is 100 per cent certain that Guardiola is going to City this summer," a high-level source in Spanish football told the paper, which said the Spaniard would become the highest-paid manager in England on £10 million (HK$124 million) a year after tax. Hong Kong gymnast Shek Wai-hung shrugged off the effect of a painful shoulder to clinch two golds and two silver medals in the final of the International Invitation Championships at Ma On Shan Sports Centre yesterday. The London Games Olympian was forced to skip the floor exercise and rings owing to a ligament inflammation but still managed to win the vault and parallel bars and finish second in the pommel horse and high bar. "I am happy to be the vault champion because this is my pet event," he said. In the women's competition, Angel Wong Hiu-yin won three of the four events - vault, floor exercise and uneven bars.
