Among the training programmes he set up is Innovator Farm (IF), which he launched in 2020 to nurture the next generation of social innovators.

Initially focused on young people aged 15 to 25, the IF programme has now expanded to include all ages. So far, it has supported or incubated more than 100 projects and bridged more than HK$60 million (US$7.7 million) in funding, according to Tse.

“We’re primarily engaged in educational work and the aim is not for everyone to become an entrepreneur, but in the 21st century economy, we need to create impactful enterprises,” he said.

He is the founder of the Social Entrepreneurship School Education (SEnSE) Programme and head of strategic innovation at the Fullness Social Enterprises Society (FSES). He also teaches courses relating to social enterprise at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

For Tse, education should not only focus on academic excellence, but also on fostering socially conscious leaders equipped to solve the challenges of tomorrow.
