Bossini heiress kidnapper jailed 12 years for ‘heinous’ crime with ‘life of victim hanging in balance’
Zheng Xingwang, 30, received HK$3,000 for delivering food and buying mobile phones for rest of gang
The only member of the Bossini heiress kidnap gang to face justice in Hong Kong was jailed for 12 years on Thursday for his role in what a judge described as a “wicked and heinous” crime.
Before sending mainland gangster Zheng Xingwang down, Mr Justice Kevin Zervos said the hefty prison term should serve as a deterrent to others who might contemplate such a “nasty crime”.
Zheng, 30, had earlier pleaded guilty in the High Court to kidnapping Queenie Rosita Law, the 29-year-old granddaughter of late Bossini clothing chain founder Law Ting-pong, for a HK$28 million ransom.
In a lengthy judgment, Zervos said Law “went through a terrible experience that she will no doubt live with for the rest of her life”.

The judge told Zheng that kidnapping was a “nasty crime committed purely for personal gain” and in which “the stakes are high, with the life of the victim hanging perilously in the balance”.
