IWC taps women’s market with Da Vinci watches at SIHH 2017
Da Vinci Automatic 36 and Da Vinci Automatic Moon Phase 36 are designed specifically for women – you can even choose a diamond-set bezel
The Da Vinci collection is the main focus for IWC’s new releases at SIHH 2017. Two new styles are tailored specifically to tap the women’s market – Da Vinci Automatic 36 and Da Vinci Automatic Moon Phase 36.
Both new releases feature a 36mm-diameter case and the case back is engraved with a “flower of life” print inspired by Leonardo da Vinci, positioned as a ladies’ wrist watch. The pieces are available in a variety of configurations including 18ct red gold case as well as stainless steel options with or without a diamond-set bezel.
“With the Da Vinci Automatic 36 and the Da Vinci Automatic Moon Phase 36, we are also re-establishing an old tradition of creating selected models from the Da Vinci line especially for women and adding diamonds or fashionable straps and bracelets as features,” says Georges Kern, CEO of IWC.
New models such as the Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Chronograph and the Da Vinci Tourbillon Rétrograde Chronograph also demonstrate IWC’s expertise in haute hologerie complications.
The Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar Chronograph for the first time combines IWC’s mechanical chronograph with a perpetual moon phase display on a sub-dial. The 89630 calibre is a brand new in-house movement. The perpetual calendar function will only be adjusted in the year 2300.
