Heavenly creations, including the Rendez-Vous Moon and Rendez-Vous Celestial, and other women’s models such as the Hybris Artistica Mystérieuse steal the spotlight

The demand for Jaeger-LeCoultre’s women’s watches has grown significantly over the past few years thanks to the maison’s unique approach to creating complications for feminine timepieces. Following last year’s successful launch of the Reverso collection, Jaeger-LeCoultre updates its much-celebrated Rendez-Vous collection this year.

Possibly Jaeger-LeCoultre’s most feminine collection as compared to the Reverso and the Master, Rendez-Vous has brought together the house’s expertise in both technical complications and artistry to create timepieces for women.

The iconic Rendez-Vous Night & Day is updated with new sizes and a variety of materials including yellow gold – introduced for the first time in the collection. The case sizes range from 34mm diameter for the medium version to 38.2mm for the large version. All watches feature an automatic mechanical movement with a 40-hour power reserve.

Variations of the new iconic models are also available with an upgrade of the much sought-after moon-phase complication.

The Rendez-Vous Moon Medium – available in 34mm-diameter steel or 18ct rose gold – features a sandblasted finishing moon phase display.

“In French, there’s a saying that if you love someone, you’d catch the moon for her and that was the idea,” says Janek Deleskiewicz, creative director of Jaeger-LeCoultre. “I told my team that we need to catch the moon and put it on her wrist.”

The moon features a sandy finish to add depth to the colours. It also required craftsmen to capture the varying faces of the moon with its reflections and shadows using their artistic strokes.

A more elaborate version of the piece is the Rendez-Vous Moon, which comes with a 36mm-diameter rose gold case set with diamonds on the bezel and a semicircle on the dial above the hour numbers. The dial size is slightly bigger compared to the Rendez-Vous Moon Medium. It features a gold satin-brushed dial with appliqué numeral indicators and a moon disc rendered in mother-of-pearl. The power reserve is also 40 hours, and it is water resistant to 30 metres.

The Vallee de Joux-based Swiss watch manufacturer is known for its vertically integrated production, technical expertise and innovations such as the Gyrotourbillon.

And if just having the moon on your wrist is not enough, Jaeger-LeCoultre has captured the constellation on the dial of the Rendez-Vous Celestial.
