Louisa Mak, the Cambridge-educated lawyer-turned-TV personality in Hong Kong, is once again embarking on a new venture.
She will be taking on the role of a non-executive director at the Legendary Education Group, receiving significant annual compensation exceeding HK$1 million (US$127,700), Sing Tao reported.
The package includes a director’s fee of HK$360,000 (US$46,000) and a consultancy fee paid to her LM Workshop, where she will provide advice on commercial strategies and the development of education-related businesses.
The move appears to be another delightful twist in the vibrant journey of this 31-year-old, showcasing her knack for charting new territories.
Hailing from a middle-class family, with her dad working as a teacher and mum as an occupational therapist, Mak attended the prestigious Diocesan Girls’ School and achieved an exceptional feat with 10 As in the 2009 HKCEE exams, according to reports. She then obtained a bachelor of arts in law and a master of arts from the University of Cambridge in 2014 and 2018, respectively.
Upon completing her law degree and returning to Hong Kong, Mak took a unique detour from the legal field to compete in the 2015 Miss Hong Kong Pageant.
