It matters little whether you are plumbing the depths of information website Pinterest or flipping through glossy travel magazines for inspiration, planning a honeymoon can be just as stressful – sometimes even more so – than the wedding itself.

According to Pinterest’s trend report on honeymoons and holidays, and Protravel International’s report on travel trends, creative millennial honeymooners are seeking many exclusive experiences to spend their special days.

From wild romance to Alpine adventures, from digital detoxing to a “multi-moon”, their choices reveal new travel trends catching on in the honeymoon segment.

 

However, one thing is common. That elusive location an average honeymooner is seeking should be exceptionally Instagrammable.

All this is presuming you don’t want a “solo-moon” – a bizarre trend that peaked last year where couples take separate holidays after their wedding – which, if you do, is not a sign of a bad romance, of course, only perhaps, a millennial one.
