During China’s Lunar New Year holiday, Macau is the perfect destination for experiencing a variety of festive celebrations – from lighting up firecrackers and fireworks in designated areas of the city, to visiting the iconic A-Ma Temple and watching new year’s parade and firework displays.

The Michelin-starred restaurant Lai Heen at The Ritz-Carlton, Macau, will serve special lunch and dinner menus during the festive period from February 4 to 12.

Among the delights are the heart-warming double-boiled bamboo pith soup with conpoy and shiitake mushroom and the full-flavoured, crispy but tender codfish fillet with crispy garlic and salty egg yolk. Another fish dish, simmered grouper fillet in superior broth, is savoury and light.

If you crave something with a traditional Lunar New Year flavour, sliced pork rolled with Tianjin cabbage and black moss with air-dried oyster is one of the treats to savour.
