The maker of Aston Martin, the car favoured by 007 James Bond and numerous billionaires, is now entering a totally new business – real estate.

The Aston Martin Residences in Miami broke ground recently and consists of 391 luxury condominiums, marking the British carmaker’s first luxury property venture.

Construction of the 66-storey waterfront Aston Martin Residences, in partnership with local firm G&G Business Developments, is on track for completion in 2021. The project is located at 300 Biscayne Boulevard Way in downtown Miami.

The striking curvilinear glass and steel tower is designed by Revuelta Architecture and Bodas Miani Anger, renowned for creating visually impressive and well engineered landmark properties. General contractor Coastal Construction Group will now begin work on the tower.

The condominiums will take in panoramic views of Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The development’s seven penthouses and one triplex penthouse – all of which will enjoy private pools and spacious terraces – will be complemented by a range of expansive one- to five-bedroom apartments.

The residences and penthouses, which range from 700 to 19,000 sq ft, are priced from US$600,000 to more than US$50 million.

Aston Martin’s design team, led by executive vice-president and chief creative officer Marek Reichman, will design the interiors and the facilities throughout the development.

Key Aston Martin design elements, such as the signature carbon-fibre reception desks, will adorn each of the tower’s two private lobbies. Highlights will include doors with custom-made artisan Aston Martin handles, number plate plinths and kestrel tan leather door tabs.
