Alicia Keys to open ‘Shanghai’s Home to Luxury’, Plaza 66
Celebrity chef Michael White will present a creative tasting menu, and pastry expert Janice Wong will set up an edible art installation
American singer/songwriter Alicia Keys will perform some of her greatest hits at Hang Lung Properties’ grand celebration to mark the transformation of Plaza 66 in Shanghai on September 8. The commercial and office complex is known as “Shanghai’s Home to Luxury”.
The highlight of the soiree will be the 66 Showcase, which will see numerous luxury brands unveil their autumn/winter 2017 collections along with exclusive lines.
Art photographer David LaChapelle and street-style photographer Tommy Ton will capture the glitz and glamour on camera.
Celebrity chef Michael White will present VIP guests with a creative tasting menu; Janice Wong, Asia’s Best Pastry Chef 2013 and 2014, will showcase an edible art installation, providing the perfect backdrop for selfies; and Belgian master chocolatier Pierre Marcolini will host a demonstration at his Plaza 66 chocolate boutique.
Plaza 66 is home to more than 100 of the world’s most famous fashion houses such as Cartier, Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Piaget and Prada.
