At Paris Fashion Week, the maison showed how it is redefining and pushing the boundaries of high jewellery and haute couture with its daring visions

“There’s a daring, couture style at Messika,” says Valérie Messika, the maison’s founder and artistic director. “We’re not afraid to create something bold, like a diamond belt with more than 15 carats. It’s about pushing the boundaries and considering high jewellery pieces as part of fashion – pieces that go far beyond the classic ways of wearing accessories.”

During Paris Fashion Week, Messika debuted its fourth high jewellery show on September 26, unveiling its new couture-inspired collection: Midnight Sun Opus II.

The collection is a second act in Messika’s Midnight Sun story. Handcrafted with the glamorous lifestyles of socialites and bon vivants in mind, it seeks to capture the moment when an indulgent all-night soirée fades into the light of the next day.
