  • Unveiled in 1961, Jaguar’s most iconic motor was driven by Daniel Craig in Casino Royale and it remains one of the few cars to go on display at New York’s MoMA
  • Enzo Ferrari once called the Jaguar E-Type ‘the most beautiful car in the world’ and Frank Sinatra and George Best were among its most famous fans

For many petrolheads across the globe, the Jaguar E-Type presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961 represents the most beautiful car ever made. The public reaction to the lone coupé available for test drives was so strong that Jaguar rushed a second E-type, a roadster, from Coventry to Geneva overnight. Sixty years later, Jaguar Classic has unveiled its first matched pair of E-Type 60 Collection cars and revealed full specification details for the 12 expertly restored and sympathetically uprated 3.8-litre E-Types.

Six 9600 HP-inspired E-Type 60 Edition fixed-head coupés are finished in unique “Flat Out Grey” paintwork with a smooth black leather interior and 1961 tribute details, while six E-Type 60 Edition roadsters mirroring 77 RW with unique “Drop Everything Green” paintwork, and a green suede leather interior and 1961 tribute details, will be produced.

In line with the 60-year update, the new cars will feature a specially developed close-ratio five-speed manual gearbox and subtle enhancements for added usability, include the Jaguar classic infotainment system with satellite navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, stainless steel exhaust system, electronic ignition, and cooling upgrade with alloy radiator.
