As Disney celebrates its 100th anniversary, stars are getting in on the fun by sporting headbands inspired by iconic characters at Hong Kong Disneyland, from Toy Story’s Slinky Dog to Maleficent

K-pop idol Song Yu-qi rocked all-pink Barbiecore at the theme park, while actress Jennifer Yu matched LinaBell looks with her daughter, and Thai beauty blogger Pannaporn Prasop wore a Chanel mini-bag

Disney celebrates its 100th anniversary this year! If you’re excited about the festivities, you’re not alone: Hong Kong’s stars are getting in on the fun, too.

In addition to the media giant’s special events and product collaborations to mark the occasion, the city’s celebrities and influencers have been spotted donning iconic Disney headbands while enjoying themselves at Disneyland.

1. A timeless collection: the iconic Mickey and Friends

The iconic Mickey & Friends collection remains a present-day favourite. Minnie, Mickey’s beloved companion, captivates girls’ hearts. Actress Renee Li Man-ying embraced the classic trend, donning a red shirt and black skirt.

2. Beyond the classics: a spectrum of Minnie

But Disney’s beloved Minnie is associated with more styles beyond the classic red and white polka dots. Actress Moon Lau Pui-yuet paired the light blue Minnie headband with a white dress and a pink and white striped shirt. Meanwhile, Jeannie Chan-ying complemented her blue and pink sequinned Minnie headband with a pink floral top and a pair of jeans.

The Duffy and Friends line-up features charismatic characters like the purple rabbit StellaLou and the imaginative dog CookieAnn. (G)I-dle’s Song Yu-qi indulged in a trip to Hong Kong Disneyland during the group’s concert tour in July, donning an adorable Duffy and Friends headband where the characters appear to be perched on her head. The artist was dressed head-to-toe in matching pink, rocking the Barbiecore trend.
