Despite her “nepo baby” status, Sosie Bacon is making a name for herself in the acting world. She is all set to share the screen with Liam Neeson and Joe Keery in the upcoming thriller film Cold Storage, written by David Koepp of Jurassic Park fame. But what do we know about who Sosie Bacon is as a person?

Acting wasn’t always her passion

According to People, Sosie Bacon made her screen debut at the age of 12 when she played a younger version of her mother’s character in Loverboy (2005), but acting didn’t spark a particular interest in her. A few years later, at 17, she starred in The Closer, the show that won her mother a Primetime Emmy and a Golden Globe.

However, it wasn’t until university when she did a play in New York that she realised acting was her calling. About this change of heart, Kevin Bacon told People, “She dropped out of college and moved to LA and really started doing all the right stuff. Pounding the pavement, doing self-tape after self-tape and studying.”

Sosie has since starred in the show Mare of Easttown and Sedgwick’s 2017 directorial debut Story of a Girl, and may be reuniting with her parents as co-stars soon. Per Variety, Sedgwick is developing a horror movie with her husband and daughter in mind.
