Who is Connie Chung’s husband of 40 years, Maury Povich? The news journalist details their love story in her new book, Connie: A Memoir
Connie Chung has been married to fellow TV personality Maury Povich since 1984, and says the key to their happy marriage is not getting in each other’s hair – so how did the pair meet?
Not all couples can say that they’ve been together for over 40 years, yet Connie Chung makes it look effortless.
And now, the seasoned journalist is revealing her recipe for success. “If you really break it down, Maury [Povich] and I have always had our own things that we do,” she told Us Weekly while promoting her new book, Connie: A Memoir. “I believe that you don’t have to be friends with all of his friends, and he doesn’t have to be friends with all of my friends. He can go do what he wants to do, and I’ll do what I want to do.”
The 78-year-old added that it’s important to spend quality time together too – but not too much of it. She said, “We always come together and have dinner together – sometimes we have lunch together too – but we don’t get in each other’s hair.”
