Per the New York Post, Sinitta, the British-American singer who dated the outspoken British music mogul and media personality between 1982 and 1984, recently sparked rumours that the notoriously wedding-shy Cowell had tied the knot. In an interview with the publication, she jokingly said he’d married his long-time partner Lauren Silverman in a secret ceremony. But she later clarified her comments, saying, “If they had married in private and I were aware of it, I would respect their privacy and not disclose such information.”
Married or not, Cowell has, in recent years, been more likely to capture the public’s attention with his relationship with American socialite and entrepreneur Lauren Silverman than the sharp wit and even sharper criticisms he’s best known for.
