The ‘Notorious’ has a penchant for top marques like McLaren, Rolls-Royce and BMW, but he also has cars to pop to the shops in – and which car did he buy for his wife?

For UFC fighter Conor McGregor, who announced a surprising retirement last month, excitement not only comes from the ring, the “Notorious” also has a penchant for roaring engines. He furnishes his social media account with beautiful luxury cars showing the fast and furious of his fabulous life. His collection ranges from exotic sports cars to daily drivers and family vehicles. To start with, his favourite car brand Lamborghini tops his coveted list.

McGregor has been a fan of Lamborghini for several years and even owned at one point two, a green Aventador and a white Aventador Roadster, a clear update from the previous Huracan Avivo he had in the past. Next to the roaring Aventador, he presented his wife Dee with a Lamborghini Urus all wrapped with a red bow late last year.

Apart from the passion for Italian sport cars, he has been a big enthusiast for the hybrid BMW i8. The i8 stands out with its futuristic look, scissor doors and streamflow design. Although his other cars may suggest otherwise, McGregor certainly wants to express a rather eco-friendly message with this German hybrid.

With its futuristic styling, the i8 exudes a sense of seriousness in relation to the growing C02 problem we are facing globally.

McGregor has often been seen to take his McLaren 650S for a spin in the Irish Capital. Who can blame him? His orange 650S catapults the car to 100km/h in less than 3 seconds. Similar to his i8, the McLaren is perfectly suited for showing up at celebrations – the scissor doors allow him to grab attention in a heart beat. He purchased this car for around £200,000 (US$252,500) and was first seen driving the British supercar when he was stopped by police in Dublin in 2017.

Apart from his staggering collection of fast exotic cars, he enjoys driving luxury vehicles to reach the destination in comfort and style, for which he deploys a Rolls-Royce. Before his fight with Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 in 2016, Rolls-Royce completed the McGregor’s Ghost with his image and nickname to commemorate such a momentous occasion.
