The Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui must be making a killing.

Try booking a room at the luxury hotel for February or March, and you’ll be bang out of luck. The booking page for those months has been completely blocked off. And we don’t imagine it’s for a revamp.

Like a game of global Cluedo, first it was Armond, with a knife, in Maui. Then it was Tanya, with a lung full of water, in Sicily.

This time around, we don’t yet know the victim, but it’s looking likely that the scene of the crime in the third season of HBO’s socially aware whodunit smash hit The White Lotus will be Koh Samui, Hong Kong’s favourite Thai island getaway.

The fact Thailand will be given the White Lotus treatment next has been a badly kept secret for some time, and the Los Angeles Times reports that the production for season three – starring the fabulous Parker Posey (a highlight of the Christopher Guest mockumentaries) – will “take place in and around Koh Samui, Phuket and Bangkok”.
