A sequel to a popular show, a Korean remake of another global hit, a fantasy period drama and several legal shows will debut in June, and a major Chinese star is also set to appear on Korean screens.

Here’s what Korean drama fans have to look forward to this month.

1. Eve

Originally scheduled for late May, Seo Yea-ji’s first show since It’s OK to Not Be OK will now kick off the June drama calendar. Eve features Seo as Lee La-el, a woman whose family is destroyed by a powerful individual.

Determined to get her revenge, she meticulously put together a plan that is 13 years in the making.

As the moment of truth approaches, she ropes in the human rights lawyer Seo Eun-pyung (Lee Sang-yeob, On the Verge of Insanity) to help her with her plan, which involves engineering a scandalous two trillion won (US$1.6 billion) divorce lawsuit (tvN, June 1).

2. Why Her?

Taking over from the popular drama Again My Life in the SBS calendar will be the legal show Why Her? led by Seo Hyun-jin (You Are My Spring) as Oh Soo-jae, a brilliant lawyer who becomes the youngest ever partner at the TK law firm.
