Susan Sim was a journalist in Jakarta on 9/11. A former intelligence analyst, she joined the Singapore Foreign Service in 2001 and was posted to Washington DC as deputy chief of mission from 2003 to 2006. She is currently vice-president for Asia with The Soufan Group, a global strategic consultancy, and Adjunct Senior Fellow with the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies in Singapore.
