WITH A VIEW to driving long-term expansion in China and raising its profile to international clients, Scott Wilson has started recruiting 240 engineering and infrastructure project specialists for its China division, covering the mainland and Hong Kong.

Eligible candidates must have a global perspective and a positive attitude towards working on the mainland, where about 200 of the new recruits will be based. They will reinforce Scott Wilson's existing mainland team of nearly 500, spread across seven offices. The other new staff will join the Hong Kong office, which has about 350 employees.

Scott Wilson has been operating in Hong Kong since 1952 and has been in China for more than 20 years, where it positions itself as the British consultant most involved with China.

With a history of more than 80 years, it is one of Britain's top 10 consultants, providing integrated project management, planning and design services to clients in the transport, property, environmental and natural resources sectors.
