Whoever said kissing is an art was absolutely correct. Art Statements gallery will be living proof of this tomorrow with a show called Ombres Chinoises (Chinese Shadows), which is selling kisses for $10 each for Aids Concern - proving that art has never been so cheap. The value for money comes when you get to choose what type of kiss you would like (CitySeen can only think of three).
They are installing kissers in the gallery from 7pm onwards, and the performance will be taped by French video artist Pascal Lievre (pictured), who will also be displaying 20 paintings and some of his video art. He will explain the significance afterwards.
But they need some help. The woman signed up to provide kisses has bailed out, so now they have just one man. To not keep the men and some ladies dangling, please call 9502 3847 to be part of this extraordinary performance art exhibit.
